Texas fishing legend, Bob Sealy, dies at 75

Sealy had reportedly been battling cancer for some time, before eventually passing away at 75-years-old.

BROOKELAND, Texas — In a post on Facebook, Big Bass Splash has announced the passing of Sealy Outdoors founder and Bass Fishing Hall of Fame inductee, Bob Sealy.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved founder, Mr. Bob Sealy," Big Bass Splash wrote Wednesday morning. "His legacy and spirit will forever be deeply etched in our hearts and continue to be our guiding light."

Sealy had reportedly been battling cancer for some time, before eventually passing away at 75-years-old.

Big Bass Splash says that Sealy faced that cancer diagnosis with remarkable strength and courage.

Friends, family, and anglers alike have flooded social media with condolences and praise of the legacy the Texas fishing legend and businessman has left in his wake.

This REALLY hits home hard.... I've fished Big Bass Splash tournaments 3 times a year, pretty much for 30 years or so....
