St. Michael Mediterranean Festival canceled for 2024

St. Michael Orthodox Church announced via Facebook Tuesday, that they would not be able to hold the Festival this year due to "various reasons".

BEAUMONT, Texas — The St. Michael Mediterranean Festival has been a staple in Southeast Texas for over a decade now, so many were saddened to here that it would not be held this year.

St. Michael Orthodox Church announced via Facebook Tuesday, that they would not be able to hold the Festival this year due to "various reasons". 

12News has reached out and is awaiting a response.

However, in the same post St. Michael's said that the festival would be back on schedule for May of 2025.

St. Michael Orthodox Church started the Mediterranean Festival back in 2009. 

Since then it has quickly become a favorite destination for many Southeast Texas residents due to it's variety of mouthwatering Greek & Middle Eastern foods.

The festival is also known for giving a peek inside of Middle Eastern and Hellenic culture with things like dance performances, live music and a shopping Bazaar.

Needless to say, many will be will be eagerly awaiting the festivals return next year.
