BEAUMONT, Texas — St. Mark's Episcopal Church is hosting it's 83rd Annual Chili Supper and Bazaar and there's still time to grab some chili!.
The chili supper is being held on November 14, 2024 until 7 p.m.
If you can't stick around to sit down and eat you can always take some to go or bring some frozen chili home.
12New's anchor Jordan Williams was there at lunch time to serve the chili.
One of the cooks at St. Mark's says it's a highly-anticipated event every year.
"We'll serve upwards of 1,400 people between upstairs and take-out," said Charles Teel, the cook at St. Mark's. "We've been doing this for 83 years, a lot of great history... it's kind of a landmark for the community."
All of the proceeds benefit Southeast Texas nonprofits.
