BEAUMONT, Texas — The state has released financial accountability ratings for public school districts around the state and districts around Southeast Texas scored well.
Ratings were released on Monday by the Texas Education Agency and 88% of districts in the state received an "A," or superior achievement rating for the 2022-2023 school year.
The School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) was established in 2001 and are based on annual financial reports supplied by the districts.
Each district is assigned a letter grade from A through F but no district in Southeast Texas received less than a "B."

- Sabine Pass ISD: 96 - A
- Hardin-Jefferson: 96 - A
- Hamshire-Fannett ISD: 94
- Port Neches-Groves ISD: B - 89
- Beaumont ISD: 92 - A
- Port Arthur ISD: 88 - B
ORANGE COUNTY
- Bridge City ISD: 100 - A
- Orangefield ISD: 100 - A
- Vidor ISD: 100 - A
- LC-M CISD: 98 - A
- WO-C CISD: 98 A
HARDIN COUNTY
- Silsbee ISD: 100 - A
- Kountze ISD: 100 - A
- Lumberton ISD: 98 - A
- Hardin-Jefferson: 96 - A
- West Hardin-County: 96 - A
TYLER COUNTY
- Colmesneil ISD: 100 - A
