SILSBEE, Texas — Silsbee Independent School District is canceling classes on Friday, December 20 due to a "high number of illnesses affecting both students and staff."
The district announced the closure on their Facebook page on Wednesday, December 18.
They say that classes will be session on Thursday, December 19 because of secondary student's midterms. But adjustments have been made to the schedule.
- High school exams: Rescheduled to Thursday, December 19. Makeup exams will be held on January 6 & 7.
- Christmas parties: Festivities at Silsbee Elementary and Laura Reeves Primary will take play Thursday, December 19. You can find party time and details on campus Facebook pages.
