BEAUMONT, Texas — Vincent Middle School students and staff were put under a brief shelter in place Friday afternoon following a bomb threat to the campus.
The shelter-in-place order was issued around 2:30 p.m. but by 3 p.m. officials had deemed the threat to be "non-credible."
Beaumont ISD notified parents via text message saying, "a shelter in place has been ordered for the campus as authorities investigate a bomb threat. An update will be sent as we receive new info."
Law enforcement is currently on scene investigating.
