A San Augustine resident is $14.6 million richer after winning the Texas Lottery earlier this month.

Byron Lee Sowell, of San Augustine, won the $20 million Lotto Texas jackpot in the Nov 2 drawing according to a release from the Texas Lottery.

Sowell selected the cash value option when he purchased the ticket and will receive $14,653,943.78 the release said.

The gas station that sold Sowell his winning ticket, San Augustine Chevron, is now eligible to receive a $201,376.08 retailer bonus for selling the winning ticket according to the release.

Sowell's Quick Pick ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn (3-4-29-31-33-50).

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54 and offers multi-million dollar jackpots. Drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. For $1 more per play, players can select the Extra! add-on feature and win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes according to the release.
