BEAUMONT, Texas — ExxonMobil made a major donation that will help Jefferson County firefighters.
The energy giant donated $740,000 to emergency service districts 3 and 4.
The districts could eventually purchase equipment like brush trucks, ATV's, radios and much more.
"These pipelines that we have in our districts, we are able to go down these pipelines with this equipment and be able to take care of any emergencies that may be down those pipelines, be it fire or medical emergency, whatever may be going on," said Jody Herrera with Jefferson County ESD 3
ExxonMobil says the $740,000 donation is part of a million dollar commitment for the Jefferson County community.
