Landon Joseph Davies, 2, drowned over the weekend in a residential pool in Port Neches.

"Landon touched everyone's heart he met with his love and unique personality. He is our everything," Davies said.

Davies said he was getting ready with Landon to go four wheeling when he turned around to check on the gas. He said when he looked up he did not know where Landon went.

Their family was frantically searching for Landon throughout the house and backyard when his other son spotted him at the bottom of the pool.

Another child who was at their house pulled Landon from out of the water. Davies believes Landon accidentally fell into the pool.

The aunt, Kim Garcia, said she is a nurse and tried giving Landon CPR.

"I did CPR on him but it wasn't enough, I’ve done CPR lots of times but never thought I’d do it on my two-year-old nephew,” said Garcia.

“My brother is big, he’s a big guy he was crawling on the ground crying and yelling,” said Garcia.

Christopher Davies recently started a new job and the family is currently without health insurance

Landon, whose organs are being donated to save other lives, has three sisters ages 9, 18 and 20 as well as two brothers ages 13 and 28.

“I guess god wanted him, his purpose was something more important than what we are here for,” said Garcia.

The toddler was originally transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas before being flown to Texas Children's in Houston.

He was found in an above-ground pool at a home in the 2500 block of 15th Street in Port Neches.

Friends of the family helped destroy the pool in the backyard. Some of the friends made a memorial for Landon on the pool steps with his favorite toys, candles and flowers.

Garcia said she will never forget her nephew.

"I love you Landon, I wish everyone could have met Landon everyone should have had the chance to meet Landon,” said Garcia.
