ORANGE, Texas — A 29-year-old Port Arthur woman has been identified as the contract worker killed Friday morning at the Golden Triangle Polymers construction site in Orange County.
Yukiko Nakao, 29, of Port Arthur, was identified as the contract worker who was killed, Capt. Joey Jacob of the Orange County Sheriff's Office told 12News on Monday morning.
Orange County deputies and OSHA are investigating the Friday morning death of Nakao at the Golden Triangle Polymers construction site in Orange County.
Investigators are continuing to work to determine exactly what occurred leading up to Nakao's death. They are still interviewing witnesses and taking statements.

Emergency crews were sent to the Golden Triangle Polymers construction site off Texas Highway 87 near the Orange County Airport at about 10 a.m. according to Capt. Joey Jacobs of the Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
"We express our deepest sympathies to their family and friends during this difficult time," the company said in a statement.
Justice of the Peace Joy Dubose-Simonton pronounced Nakao deceased.
The project is a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical and Qatar Energy. Chevron Phillips holds a 51% share of the plant according to file stories.
The plant, which will produce Marlex polyethylene, is expected to begin operating in 2026.
Golden Triangle Polymers is "expected to contribute $50 billion in residual economic impacts for the community" over the next 20 years, according a file story.
