PORT ARTHUR — The Port Arthur ISD Board of Trustees approved a $133,000 repair to the Memorial High School Stadium. After an emergency meeting was called this evening, the stadium could see repairs as soon tomorrow morning.
The walkway to the press box of the stadium was deemed un-safe after inspection, and the entire stadium was determined unusable as a result.
The school district says it plans on repairs being done before the August 31st which is the first home game to be hosted by the Memorial High School Titans.
The district also tells 12news that stadium repair cost will not cost Port Arthur tax payers a dime.
