ORANGE, Texas — A man was arrested and is now behind bars after police conducted a search at a residence and found over five pounds of cannabis and THC products Wednesday morning in Orange.

On May 29 around 10 a.m., West Orange Police Department investigators, with the help of the City of Orange Police Department, searched a residence in the 2200 block of Bonnie St.

During the search, they discovered about five and a half pounds of high-grade marijuana along with THC vape pens and THC wax, according to police.

Investigators identified the resident as David McKnight. He was arrested and charged with third-degree felony possession of marijuana.

McKnight was booked into the Orange County Jail. He faces a penalty of 2 to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000, if convicted.

The search and arrest came after several complaints were made from residents.

As a result, the narcotics divisions of the West Orange and City of Orange Police Departments conducted an investigation.
