Beaumont Police now say that a man found dead early Sunday morning may have fallen from a downtown building.

Beaumont police say Travis Gore's body was found Sunday morning in an alley between the Jefferson Theater and Hotel Beaumont.

Investigators say he somehow fell from an elevated position at Hotel Beaumont.

Police do not suspect foul play at this time.

Gore was a beloved drag queen and went by the stage name Treasure Gardener.

He even planned to compete in next weekend's Miss Gay Texas USofA pageant.

Those in the Beaumont LGBTQ community and beyond are mourning the death of a young man remembered as an eager volunteer and "beautiful soul."

"We are all shocked and saddened by the loss of such a valuable member of the Beaumont LGBTQ community," said Beaumont Pride chair Shawn Hare in a statement. "

Travis was an outstanding individual who used his talent as a drag performance artist to raise awareness and support for the local LGBTQ community.

He touched many lives, and his memory will continue to be a source of strength and unity for us all."

Clay Hutchison has known Gore for five years.

He told 12News "Travis was full of energy. He always added something extra and brought something more to the table."
