BEAUMONT, Texas — Police spent several hours early Monday morning searching for the parents of a toddler found wandering alone on a busy Beaumont street.
The boy, who was believed to be about 2-years-old, was found wandering alone near midnight Monday morning along the 4400 block of Jimmy Simmons Blvd on the south side of the city near Lamar University, according to a news release from Beaumont Police.
By about 3:15 a.m. police reported that his parents had been located.
When the boy was found, he was wearing a grey long-sleeved sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants and black socks.
