BEAUMONT, Texas — No one was injured Tuesday morning when a pickup truck caught fire and burned at a Nederland gas station.

A pick-up truck had some sort of mechanical problem at the pumps at the Swift gas station at U.S. Highway 69 and Beauxart Garden Rd Tuesday morning before 7 a.m. according to Nederland fire chief Terry Morton.

After noticing smoke coming from under the hood, the truck's owner moved it away from the pumps and parked it next to some other vehicles Morton told 12News.

The truck kept burning and soon became engulfed in flames, according to Morton.

The fire caused major damage to a truck parked nearby and minor damage to another truck.

Morton says leaking gasoline from the trucks contributed to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
