ORANGE, Texas — Orange Police are investigating the discovery of a 56-year-old man's body Monday evening at the travel info center off Interstate 10 near the Texas-Louisiana border.
Officers were sent to the the Texas Travel Information Center on Monday, July 1, 2024, at about 5:40 p.m. after the body was found, according to a news release from Orange Police.
The body of James Faulkner, 56, of Louisiana, was found at the scene, according to police.
Faulkner appears to have died of "natural" causes and no foul play is suspected at this time police said.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Orange Police Department is investigating.
Orange County Precinct One Justice of the Peace Hershel Stagner, Jr. has ordered an autopsy in the case.
The Orange Fire Department and the Department of Public Safety assisted Orange Police officers at the scene.
