Orange County sheriff's deputy resigns amidst investigation by Texas Rangers

Ken Bost officially resigned on July 3, 2024, according to the sheriff's office. He was hired in July 2020 and previously worked as the Rose City Marshal.

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — An Orange County deputy who is under investigation by the Texas Rangers resigned earlier this month. 

Ken Bost officially resigned on July 3, 2024, according to the sheriff's office. He was hired in July 2020 and previously worked as the Rose City Marshal.

12News reached out to the Texas Department of Public Safety for further details on the investigation.

"At the request of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Texas Rangers (DPS) are conducting an investigation into the allegations. We would refer additional questions to the Orange County Sheriff's Office or District Attorney's Office," Texas Department of Public Safety Media and Communications Office said in an email.

No other details about the allegations against Bost have been released at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

There is currently no case against Bost pending with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Krispen Walker, of the DA's office told 12News.
