Orange County family's home destroyed by fire Sunday morning

By the time firefighters arrived at the fire, the home was completely engulfed in flames.

PINE FOREST, Texas — An Orange County family lost their home to a fire early Sunday morning.

No one was at home early Sunday morning and there were no injuries when the fire happened at about 5 a.m. in the 4000 block of Carter Rd, northwest of Pine Forest according to Orange County Emergency Services District One fire chief, Robert Smith.

The homeowners were out of town when the fire broke out.

By the time firefighters arrived at the fire, the home was completely engulfed in flames, Smith told 12News.

The cause of the fire, which left the home a total loss, is still being investigated.

Two adults and two children were living in the double-wide mobile home, Smith said.

Firefighters from Orange County Emergency Services Districts Two and Four brought tankers and helped fight the fire, according to a Facebook post by ESD 1.

Pinehurst firefighters stood by at the ESD 1 fire station to cover any calls that may have come in during the fire.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
