BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Animal Care officers are investigating after a man was killed after being bitten by two dogs Monday morning.
Around 11 a.m. police responded to the 1400 block of Orange Avenue after a welfare check for a man who was bleeding after being attacked by dogs.
Beaumont Police Department confirmed that the man has died after being taken to the hospital.
The man was bitten by two pit bulls, according to Beaumont Police.
The dogs were caught after being tranquilized and captured by animal control officers, according to Viviana Lopez of Beaumont Animal Care.
Beaumont Animal Care and Beaumont Police are continuing to investigate.
A neighbor tells 12News that the dogs are always on the loose.
