BEAUMONT, Texas — Additional law enforcement will be present at Odom Academy on Thursday, October 3 due to continued threats against the school.
Beaumont Independent School District sent phone and email messages to parents stating that there will be increased police presence on the campus to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Beaumont ISD police received a tip that made a reference to the September 25 threat against Odom Academy.
The tip stated that activity may take place on October 3, according to the release.
"Due to this new development, additional police will be on campus to reassure parents, students, and staff that their well-being is our top priority," said the release.
Police are investigating and will have updates as more information becomes available.
