NEDERLAND, Texas — One person in Nederland is definitely feeling lucky after wining big with a Texas Lottery scratcher nearly a week ago.
A Nederland resident has claimed a $7.5 million prize after buying a $100 Loteria Supreme scratch-off ticket at a Nederland gas station.
The winning ticket, which was bought at the Fast Break Number Two at 1349 Nederland Ave, was redeemed to the Texas Lottery on October 18, 2023, according to the Texas Lottery.
This is the first of four top prize tickets to be redeemed among the Loteria Supreme tickets according to the Texas Lottery.
A total of 8,875,515 Loteria Supreme tickets have been printed and the next highest prize tickets are the $100,000 tickets. Four of the $7,5 million tickets have been printed and 11 have been redeemed so far.
\The game has a total of more than $709.9 million in total prizes available and the odds of winning anything, including a $100 "break even" prize, is one in 3.23 according to the Texas Lottery.
