All accounted for after fire destroys Orangefield mobile home Monday night

Emergency Services District 2 called for mutual aid. West Orange Fire Department and and Emergency Service District 4 both responded.

ORANGEFIELD, Texas — All are accounted for following a Monday night fire in Orangefield that destroyed a mobile home.

Firefighters from Emergency Services District 2 responded to the fire on Beadle Rd after it broke out at about 8 p.m. Monday.

The fire may have been caused by an electrical issue as the only power to the mobile home was being supplied by an extension cord coming from another residence according to Bridge City Fire Marshal Elgin Browning.

Firefighters believe there were between two and eight people  in the trailer at the time of the fire according to Browning.

By Tuesday morning the person had been accounted for and all were safe with no injuries reported.

A mutual aid call was put out and firefighters from the West Orange Fire Department and Emergency Service District 4 responded to assist.
