JASPER COUNTY, Texas — The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have information regarding the discovery of multiple dead animals to call the office.

The sheriff's office received a call about the incident around 11 a.m. Saturday, Public Information Officer Karli Cherry told 12News. The animals were found on County Road 828.

(Editor's note: A viewer sent 12News a picture of the animals. 12News is not showing the picture due to its graphic nature.)

In the picture seen by 12News, one animal appears to be missing its skin. While some of the animals are clearly dogs, the condition of others makes it hard to determine if they are also dogs.

At this time, it is unclear how many animals were found or how they died.

There are no leads on any suspects regarding the discovery.

At this time, the sheriff's office said they need further information to investigate the incident. Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to call the Jasper County Sheriff's Office at 409-384-5417.
