NEDERLAND, Texas — A 27-year-old Dayton man died Monday afternoon after falling from scaffolding while working at Energy Transfer's Nederland terminal.
Franklyn Aguiar, 27, of Dayton, a contract worker for Energy Transfer, died after falling from scaffolding while working Monday at the facility according to Jefferson County Precinct Seven Brad Burnett Justice of the Peace on Tuesday.
Aguiar had a head injury and the fall appears to have caused his death according to Burnett, who has ordered an autopsy.
His father and brother were also working at the facility when the incident happened Burnett told 12News.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on January 29, at 2300 North Twin City Highway just outside of Nederland city limits, Burnett said on Monday..
He several feet up in the air on the scaffold and fell. Acadian responded to the scene, Judge Burnett told 12News.
