PORT ARTHUR, Texas — All 37 students in Lamar State College Port Arthur's upward mobility nursing program class of 2018 pass their licensing exam, the school announced in a news release.
The Texas Board of Nursing gave full approval status to LSCPA's upward mobility program after a three-year approval period, Lamar State College Port Arthur announced March 19.
For a school to maintain full approval status with the state board, at least 80 percent of its students have to pass the licensure exam, LSCPA said. This past fall, 100 percent of the students passed the exam on their first attempt.
