Jefferson County is offering grants to tourism related businesses, now accepting applications

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas — The Jefferson County Tourism Committee is now accepting applications for grants awarded to tourism related projects and events that benefit Jefferson County.

Applications are due September 1, 2023 by 5:00 p.m. and are to be turned in to Director of the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitors Center, Kathi Hughes.

These grants are awarded biannually and the funds are used for tourism and other guidelines that are set by the Office of the Attorney General.

Since the addition of the 2% Jefferson County Hotel Occupancy Tax in October 2001, the county is able to offer these grants.

Applications may be obtained by calling 409-842-0500 or on the Jefferson County website. To find the application online, click "Economic Development" and then “Hotel Occupancy Tax Funds Application”.

All applications must be completed and typed online, older versions of the application will not be accepted.

To receive the grant, a signed contract with Jefferson County is required. The person filing the application may be asked to appear before the Tourism Committee.

The mailing address and other contact information can be found on page four of the application. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered for review.

Beaumont: The Jefferson County Tourism Committee is now accepting applications for grants awarded to tourism related projects and events benefiting Jefferson County.  Applications are due  Friday, September 1, 2023 by 5:00pm and are to be turned in to Kathi Hughes, Director of the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitors Center.
