Jasper firefighters battle Sunday night blaze as two parked 18-wheelers burn

Fourteen volunteer firefighters responded to the fire involving two 18-wheelers that were fully engulfed in flames when they got there.

JASPER, Texas — Firefighters in Jasper battled a large fire late Sunday night after two parked 18-wheelers went up in flames.  

No one was injured in the fire after two truck tractors and their trailers burned at a property on Lynn St., according to a Facebook post by the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters were sent to the fire at about 11 p.m. and when they got there they found both 18-wheelers fully engulfed in flames. 

Two fire engines and a tanker were among the trucks that were dispatched to the fire. Fourteen volunteer firefighters also responded to the fire. 

The cause of the fire is unknown.
