'Operation Photo Rescue' to help restore flood-damaged pictures

Each family will be able to bring 20 damaged photos to be digitally restored for free.

BEAUMONT, Texas — 'Operation Photo Rescue' is partnering with the Beaumont Public Library System to help families whose photos were damaged by flooding. 

Affected families can get help Friday and Saturday, November 22-23 at the Theodore Johns Library, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Each family is allowed to bring 20 flood-damaged photos. A digital copy will be made of the originals, and the owner will keep the originals. The copies are later restored, printed and shipped. Operation Photo Rescue is offering the services for free.

The Theodore Johns Library is located at 4255 Fannett Rd. in Beaumont
