Elegante Hotel says guest rooms 'fully functional,' cafe and tavern open after Imelda

Some ballrooms will be open by Thanksgiving according to the tweet.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont's MCM Elegante Hotel shared an update Monday on its recovery from Imelda, noting that guest rooms are fully functional and the 'Tropical Pool' should be open again by Friday.

The hotel said in a tweet that room service, Hemingway's Cafe and Tradewinds Tavern are all open in spite of the water it took on during Imelda.

Some ballrooms will be open by Thanksgiving according to the tweet.

Barry Marks, Senior Vice President of MCM Family of Hotels, said the Elegante experienced flood damage during Harvey, but Tropical Storm Imelda’s impact was the worst.

"There have been minor issues at the hotel caused by heavy rain, but nothing like this," Marks said earlier in October. As a result of Imelda, the hotel is replacing 4 feet of damaged interior walls and other building necessities.
