I-10 westbound lanes reopen after crash involving 18-wheeler hauling lumber

BEAUMONT, Texas — Interstate 10 westbound has reopened after being shut down for several hours following a crash. 

Beaumont Police Officer Carol Riley tells 12News the crash happened just before 4 a.m. Monday near Cheddar's in Beaumont. 

The crash involved an 18-wheeler hauling lumber and a Toyota Camry. The semi-truck overturned as a result of the crash. 

Both drivers were taken to the hospital to be checked out for non life-threatening injuries, according to Riley. 

Traffic was diverted at the Walden Road exit.
