The Gift of Life Program is offering free men's healthcare screenings during June, which is "Men's Health Month," as well as July.
More than 255 men showed up to the group's first screening this past Saturday in Beaumont.

All of the screening events start at 9 a.m. and also feature giveaways, lunch and a $25 Jason's Deli gift card for participants.
The group originally focused on providing free mammograms to medically underserved women has grown into one of the largest cancer screening initiatives of its kind in the Texas, according to its website.
In 2000 the group expanded its focus to include men's health with prostate cancer screenings and other care to men in need.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men other than skin cancer and is the second highest cause of cancer death according to the Gift of Life.
With early detection the five-year survival rate of localized prostate cancer is nearly 100%, according to the group.
