Firefighter taken to hospital after being shocked while battling RV fire in Pinehurst

Pinehurst firefighters responded to a fully involved RV fire around 3:15 p.m. at 2032 30th Street in Pinehurst.

PINEHURST, Texas — A Pinehurst firefighter was taken to the hospital after being shocked while fighting a RV fire on Monday afternoon.

A passerby saw the RV and a truck on fire and called for help.

Pinehurst firefighters responded to the fully involved RV fire around 3:15 p.m. at 2032 30th Street in Pinehurst. The fire had the possibility of spreading to a home.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke ad flames coming from the RV, truck and nearby structure, according to William Cothran, a firefighter at the scene

The homeowner tells 12News he saw the fire on surveillance camera and could tell that it started at the front of the RV.

Mutual aid was requested and the West Orange Fire Department, Emergency Service District 3 and 4 all responded.

One firefighter received a shock from a powerline and was taken to the hospital, according to Cothran, a firefighter at the scene. His condition is not known at this time.
