LITTLE CYPRESS, Texas — A family of five lost their home Tuesday morning following a house fire near Little Cypress.
When firefighters from Orange County Emergency Services District Number Three in Little Cypress arrived smoke and flames could be seen coming out of the home according to fire chief Matt Manshack.
Firefighters were told by dispatchers one person was trapped inside but when they arrived they found the person had escaped without injury Manshack told 12News.
The fire, in the 2800 block of Arrow Lane, was reported at about 10 a.m. and firefighters arrived in about four minutes.
The cause of the fire, which completely destroyed the house, is still under investigation.
Firefighters from the City of Orange and Orange County Emergency Services Districts Two and Four responded to assist in fighting the fire.
Four dogs also escaped the fire.
