Blaze destroys Burkeville mobile home Sunday night

BEAUMONT, Texas — Residents of a mobile home in Burkeville were left homeless after a fire destroyed their home Sunday night.

Firefighters with the Burkeville Volunteer Fire Department were sent to the fire along County Road 1083 at about 7 p.m. Sunday night according to Chief Charles Duckworth.

When firefighters arrived the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames he told 12News on Monday morning.

No one was home when the fire started and Duckworth said he had not had a chance yet to speak to the residents.

The cause of the fire, which left the structure a total loss, is not yet known at this time according to Duckworth.
