One person was seriously injured Tuesday morning after the log truck he was driving rear-ended another that was stopped waiting to turn.
Little Cypress Volunteer Fire Department Chief Matt Manshack says the trucks were turning left into International Paper Mill on Highway 87 when the driver of the second truck said his brakes failed, causing him to collide with the first truck. The logs from the first truck entered the cab of the second and struck the driver of the second truck, who was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
The crash is being investigated by DPS.
