Driver crashes into Concord Physicians building following medical emergency

The building owner says that the area struck by the car was used to store antiques and no one was inside that part of the building.

WEST ORANGE, Texas — A woman who crashed her vehicle into a building after suffering from a medical emergency is now recovering.

A clerk at Snowflake Donuts told a partner with 12News that the woman appeared to be having a medical issue when she left the donut shop.

When the driver left the donut shop's drive-thru, she went straight across the street and crashed into the Concord Physicians building across from the donut shop on Concord Dr. around 7:30 a.m.

The building owner says that the area struck by the car was used to store antiques and no one was inside that part of the building.

A firefighter who responded says that the driver was trapped in the car by debris.

Firefighters were able to clear the debris and rescue the driver.

She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was conscious and alert at the time.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
