ORANGE, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a fiery rollover crash involving an 18-wheeler that happened on Interstate 10 near the 874-mile marker, west of Orange.
Just after 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, a 2025 International LT62E truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling eastbound.
Police say it was reported that, for an unknown reason, the driver left the road to the right, over-corrected, struck a guardrail, and then overturned the truck and trailer.
The truck caught on fire and bystanders were able to get the driver and passenger out of the vehicle, according to a release from DPS.
The driver and one passenger were transported to Christus-Orange to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
I-10 eastbound is still currently shut down and traffic is being rerouted onto the 874 exit to MLK. Drivers will be able to make re-entry at the 875 exit.
DPS are still investigating the crash and no further information is available at this time.
This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
