LUMBERTON, Texas — Highway 96 in Lumberton is reopened after downed power lines caused it to close Wednesday.

An oversized load caused the downed power lines and damaged traffic signals around 4:30 p.m., according to Lumberton Police Chief Danny Sullins.

Highway 96 Northbound and Southbound between West Candlestick Drive and Boardwalk were shut down for over four hours.
