Beaumont driver killed in Sunday night crash

The car, driven by Sharron O'Neal Brantley Jr., left the roadway and hit a tree

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont driver was killed in a single-car accident Sunday night. 

Investigators say Sharron O'Neal Brantley Jr., 42, died after losing control of the car and hitting a tree. 

The car was headed westbound, and left the roadway after crossing Highland Avenue. The car came to rest near the intersection of Irving and Florida in Beaumont. 

The crash happened around 7 p.m. Sunday.
