KINDER, La. — The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana is hosting their annual "Koasati Heritage Day" to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
The celebration will include traditional dances, language preservation, Coushatta cuisine, storytelling of tribal legends and the opportunity to meet tribal princesses.
The event will be held at the Coushatta Conference Center Ballroom on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at 777 Coushatta Drive in Kinder, Louisiana, according to the news release.
Event Highlights:

- Guests can experience first-hand intricate basket weaving techniques using materials like white oak, sedge grass and rivercane.
