Construction starts on a new fire station in the Jasper County Dixie Community

This new fire station will be a game changer for the area which was plagued by wildfires last year.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Jasper County will soon have a new Dixie Community fire station. 

According to an update from the Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department, workers are in the process of completing dirt work and the building pad should be completed soon, if the weather allows. 

Jasper County Precinct One Seth Martindale and Precinct Two Kevin Holloway worked hard with the process of moving dirt, according to the Beech Grove VFD. 

Once the pads are complete, forms the foundation will be next. After that plumbing and electrical will be done and finally concrete.

The dirt work at the new Dixie Community fire station is underway and the building pad should be finished soon, weather permitting. Jasper County Commissioners Precinct 1 Seth Martindale, and Precinct 2 Kevin Holloway have been hard at work this week moving dirt. Once the pad is complete, forms for the foundation are next, then rough in plumbing and electrical, and then concrete! Good things are coming and we’re moving in the right direction.
