Color coming to downtown Beaumont

Mickey Mitchell an art teacher at East Chambers High School is one of the first artists to begin bringing this vision to life.

BEAUMONT — Artists around Beaumont are getting there chance to let the creative juices flow. They are partnering with the City of Beaumont to bring more color to the streets of downtown.

"Beaumont is an amazingly creative town and there's a lot of creative people in it and we're trying to let people see that," Greg Busceme, executive director of The Art Studio Incorporated said.

Mickey Mitchell an art teacher at East Chambers High School is one of the first artists to begin bringing this vision to life.

"It was one of those things when they said don’t make it political, don't make it city based, just make something pretty and I was like well thats easy," Mitchell said.

People already have been stopping by to take pictures with Beaumont’s newest attraction.

"You can tell that people are happy to do this process. So there’s definitely an urge there for the beautification of Beaumont. Downtown Beaumont is one of the places that would really thrive with more color,” Mitchell said.

Local artists coming together, for a more colorful future.
