Clear Alert | Lumberton Police find missing 63-year-old man

He was last seen early Friday morning and impaired with stroke-related dementia.

LUMBERTON, Texas — The Lumberton Police Department found a man after issuing a clear alert for a missing 63-year-old Lumberton man on October 20, 2023.

Royce Lee, 63, was found after a tip led the Hardin County Sheriff's Office to send a drone to the area he may have been in.

Lee was found near the Dollar General in Lumberton, where deputies spotted him in a field laying down.

He was taken to the hospital because he was dehydrated, but he is okay according to Lumberton Police Chief Danny Sullins.

Lee was last seen on Friday, October 20,2023 at 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Hamshire Lane in Lumberton on foot. 

According to Chief Sullins, Lee is impaired with stroke-related dementia. 

Police believed Lee could have been in danger.

According to the Texas DPS website, The Clear alert assists law enforcement in locating and rescuing missing, kidnapped or abducted adults or adults who are in immediate danger of injury or death, as well as aid in locating any potential suspects.
