Port Arthur man identified as driver who died in single-vehicle crash Sunday morning

The 51-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle. He has been identified as James Robinson.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A one car crash in Port Arthur left one person dead early Sunday morning.

Around 1 a.m. Port Arthur Police responded to a crash on Lake Arthur Drive. Once arriving to the scene they found a white Ford pickup truck had left the roadway, according to Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso.

The 51-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle, according to Justice of the Peace Joseph Guillory. He pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The driver has been identified as James Robinson of Port Arthur, according to Chief Duriso.

Judge Guillory has ordered an autopsy.
