The sounds of prayer and hymns filled the air outside of Ronald Livings’ home on Sunday night.
Dozens of people came to support the family of Ronald Livings, also known as “Leelee Williams.”
Livings’ brother, Britton Holt is devastated over the loss of his younger brother.
“The thing that hurts me the most because they not only took him from us but he got four small kids that now, me my sister and my momma got to look out for, but at the end of the day you can't replace their daddy. He's their daddy," Holt said.
Those four children also lost their mother who died last year. Holt hopes that police can find out who is responsible for Livings’ death.
Holt is also humbled that several people came to the vigil in support of him and his family.
"To me it's love, I mean, I didn't see or didn't know how many people he touched and affected, but as I look around, he touched us and everyone in Beaumont, Texas and probably over the world too, so it's a blessing that everybody could come through and just be here with us," Holt said.
Beaumont police said five people suffered from gunshot wounds after a fight broke out inside Club Rumba early Saturday morning and continued in the parking lot where gunfire was exchanged.
Police said Livings was transported to Baptist Hospital by a private auto and died from his injuries.
A 26-year-old was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth and taken into surgery but is expected to recover.
The other three victims were treated at the hospital then released with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Beaumont Police Department at (409) 832-1234.
