PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A holiday train is coming to Port Arthur!
The Port of Port Arthur is co-hosting the Canadian Pacific-Kansas City Holiday Train.
The event is free and open to the public.
The train will arrive at the Seafarer's Center at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 401 Houston Avenue in Port Arthur.
The Port of Port Arthur is partnering with the Port Arthur Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Sertoma Club to host the holiday event.
"The Port invites all our citizens, Port Arthur City employees, and families to attend," Larry Kelley, Port Director and CEO of Port of Port Arthur said in a news release.
Kelley said over 2,000 people toured the train to see Santa Claus last year.
"And we are blessed to have the train visit Port Arthur again. Improvements since last year should enhance the overall experience," he said.
The Port Arthur Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting youth activities and the Sertoma Club is providing hot chocolate.
"This is a great opportunity for family with young kids or anyone as a kid at heart," Kelley said.
