BEAUMONT, Texas — The McFaddin-Ward House’s Movies at the McFaddins' outdoor movie nights is scheduled to return on June 6 with a free screening of Disney's 1998 classic movie “The Parent Trap.”
The film will take place on the museum’s lawn located at 1906 McFaddin Ave. Gates open at 7:30 p.m.
“The community is invited to kick off summer vacation with us on the lawn to enjoy a beloved Disney classic sure to get you and your family in the summer spirit,” said Sarah Parker, McFaddin-Ward House communications/marketing manager.
Those who attend the movie night are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, snacks, and insect repellant to enjoy the family-friendly film.
“Our movie nights provide us a special opportunity to engage with the community and inspire interest in our historic site by providing a safe, comfortable environment for families and friends to have fun and make memories with us,” said Parker.
In the event of inclement weather, the screening will be relocated to the Visitor Center Lecture Hall located at 1906 Calder Ave.
The McFaddin-Ward House, built in the distinctive Beaux-Arts Colonial style, which reflects the lifestyle of the prominent family who lived there for 75 years, according to a release.
The museum offers free tours, educational programs, year-round events, a carriage house and gardens.
