BEAUMONT — There's less than a month to go before school starts for the new Beaumont United High School students.
The Beaumont Independent School Districts says it's adding new classrooms for 9th graders, along with updating their athletic locker rooms, cafeteria, and gym floor.
The district says their expecting 2,400 students to attend this fall. Residents in the area say they believe the parking lots at the school will be completely full.
"It will be on another level because the level they have now is usually half full and I'm looking for this parking lot to be completely full," said Curtis Cormier, a Beaumont resident.
The district says the renovations will be completed by the first day of school on August 13th.
