BEAUMONT, Texas — A 17-year-old from Beaumont has been identified the city’s fourth homicide victim of 2019 and wintesses were not being helpful in the investigation.
According to a news release issued by the Beaumont Police Department, Reginald Royce Coleman was killed in a late-night shooting in the 2800 block of Gulf Street Monday. Police arrived around 10:30 p.m. and found his body near the Sterling Pruitt pool building.
“Coleman was still in possession of his money and drugs. He didn’t appear to have been robbed,” says the police statement.

Police say detectives tried to interview numerous people in the area, but witnesses laughed and refused to cooperate.
Coleman was a person of interest in several recent aggravated robberies in the area.
