BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are investigating a fiery car wreck on Washington Boulevard and Avenue A that happened on Monday night.
BPD Public Information Officer Carol Riley tells 12News that the wreck happened around 7:45 p.m.
There was a car that was totaled and reportedly caught fire, according to Riley.
Another car was towed away from the scene while officials worked to try to move the burned car from the gas station parking lot.
A fire engine and several police cruisers had blocked off the road while officers diverted traffic.
Haley Morrow with Beaumont Police Department told 12News they are investigating the case including reckless driving and endangering a child. She says investigators are using video from the Real-Time Crime Center cameras.
10 people were taken to the hospital. Multiple people were transported with serious injuries. Two of the people were critical including a child that was transported to a Houston Hospital, according to Morrow.
